The March For Life

Last weekend I was blessed to be a part of the March For Life. In this day and age it is very easy to be depressed about life and the intrinsic evils which are often condoned as social "rights". So many of our fellow citizens believe that they have a right to terminate a pregnancy whether they weigh convenience higher than life or, more likely, they have been deceived by those who do.   However, it was very encouraging to see so many young people marching in Washington, D. C. We are beginning to come into a new generation. We have little need to be depressed about the future.  We have the will to move on and stop the evils that have sickened our society, such as abortion, euthanasia.
Countless crusaders fight for life and integrity.  Today, in order to provide a good argument against these evils, we must also provide a future for those affected by them.

Abortion can be the last resort for women, especially young women, who have been abused and have no where to go.  But, statistics show that the majority of unwanted pregnancies are the result of free choice decisions.  In essence, the woman has already chosen life.  It is her responsibility to fulfill her decision, even if it means giving the child up for adoption. In this case, in order to stop abortion, immoral behavior must be stopped, not only for the preservation of life, but for the betterment of society. In the case of those who are taken advantage of, what they lack is love and this love can be found in the hearts of the many couples who are without children. If the young woman became pregnant against her will, the will of those who want, but cannot have children, would long for the child and provide the support needed for the preservation of the child's life. It is our responsibility to endorse righteous living, and provide the shelters and support needed for those who have found no compassion.
