Today is the Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael (Right to Left).

Here three suggestions of things to do today from Catholic Culture.org.  Read more at their website: http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/liturgicalyear/calendar/day.cfm?date=2011-09-29
The Prayer of St. Michael and the Angelus are below.

  • Memorize the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. Although no longer formally recited after Mass, Pope John Paul II encouraged us to recite this prayer daily.

  • In honor of St. Gabriel, Learn the Angelus and recite it daily. Traditionally, the prayer is prayed at the 6:00 and 12:00 hours (am and pm). There is a partial indulgence attached to those who pray this prayer.

  • Read the Book of Tobit for the story of St. Raphael helping Tobit and Tobias.

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
    Hail Mary...
    Holy Mary...
Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
    Hail Mary...
    Holy Mary...
And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us.
    Hail Mary...
Holy Mary...Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
